Superfoods work for everybody. They work because they’re food. Incredibly nutrient rich, easy to digest, miracle healing plant foods. I’m working on a report called “SuperFoods VS. Supplement Scam” that will go into more detail. Right now, I’m going to rant because I’m fed up.

I’m restricted, legally, from telling the full truth about these gifts from God, Universal Consciousness, Mother Nature or whatever floats your spiritual boat. At least I can tell you some dirty little secrets the supplement and health industry doesn’t want you to know. But oh my, we can’t question almighty Science or have any views or opinions which aren’t given to us.

For the record, I was schooled in the Scientific Method good and hard. My sin has been to keep an open mind and explore other methods of thought and belief that don’t rhyme with what we’re taught to believe. Unquestioning belief in the infallibility of rational, reductionist Western thought. Science, by god.

Well Jeff, where are the double blind studies that prove the magic bullet nature of these so called “superfoods”? Those studies don’t even begin to capture the power and effectiveness of these complex plants. We ain’t talkin’ about a single isolated substance that gives you a boner for the weekend. Whee go little blue pill! That’s what double blind trials are all about. Against a non active placebo. Ya think the deck is stacked a bit in those trials?

Also for the record, the supplement industry is heavily regulated. Don’t believe the scare tactics called “news” meant to plant the seed of doubt in your mind about the power of nature.

Let’s see, Mother Nature: 4+ BILLION years of creating and sustaining life.

Modern Medicine: <100 years. Near total reliance on the magnificence that is human greed. Hmmm.

Traditional Chinese Medicine: 5,000 years of recorded history. 1.4 BILLION people. Using mostly plant medicine to this very day. Hmmm.

Ayurveda. India’s “Science of Life.” Plant based medicine with a history longer than China’s. 1+ BILLION people still using plant based medicine to this day. Hmmm.

Supplement Industry: <100 years of trying to remake Mother Nature in man’s image. I know, let’s make a vitamin in a lab out of leftover petroleum, synthesized from GMO corn, coal tar derivatives and stuff like that. We’ll use lots of pressure (producing lots of heat) to press this into a pill that everyone can swallow. Great idea! Oh yeah, we’ll need some binders, fillers and coatings for it too. Hmmm.

Why tilt at windmills when you can work with Nature and harness that power so easily? Why take a vitamin pill that is 3% absorbable (a different thing from dissolving in your stomach) when you can use superfoods that are 100% usable by the body? Wouldn’t you rather spend $1 and get $1 back in nutrition? Or just get 3 cents back on every $1 invested in your health?

No brainer.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll have lots more to share in my upcoming report. By the way, I have over 400 studies on spirulina and human health. Scientific ones. All positive.

Tea Tree Oil has been used for centuries in Australia as an antiseptic to treat various types of infection. The aborigines have used crushed the leaves of this species of Melaleuca family of trees to treat infected wounds. It was often used in the Second World War to treat infections. The oil is distilled from the leaves of the plant using steam or water distillation.

It not only combats bacterial problems such as strep throat but it also has anti fungal and anti viral properties as well. In the old days when antibiotics didn’t exist, people would use tea tree oil to help fight against colds and flu. It is a treatment that still works today. You just add a couple of drops of the oil to hot water and inhale the steam. Steaming works by opening the pores and the tea tree oil will fight the source of the infection be it bacterial or viral. Do take care not to burn yourself though.

The oil from the Tea Tree is very effective in treating fungal infections such as athlete’s foot or ringworm. It also works well when used to treat acne although you have to be careful not to apply the oil direct to the skin as it can result in an allergic reaction. It is much kinder and more effective to add a few drops of the tea tree oil to carrier oil and then apply the resulting preparation to your face. Alternatively you can buy prepackaged formulas made from these natural ingredients to help treat an outbreak of zits.

The oil made from the leaves of this tree is not toxic so can be safely used for the treatment of genital infections such as warts, herpes and thrush. You can safely use it in the bath for home treatments. It is also an active ingredient in many commercially prepared products used to treat these conditions.

Every home should have a bottle of this oil in the medical chest. It can be applied neat to stings from insects or plants. If you or your partner suffers from bad breath, you can try gargling with a mixture of oil, water and alcohol. It may not taste great but it will reduce the effects of your halitosis.

If you are going to use this oil, you should apply a small bit to your skin first to ensure that you are not allergic. Most people will not be sensitive but there is always the minority that could experience a reaction. Remember that just because something is a natural product, it doesn’t mean that it cannot cause an allergic reaction in some people.

You can use this oil with other antiseptic oils such as lavender or lemon to improve the smell. On its own it has a strong spicy smell which may not be attractive. A lot of skin care companies will use this oil in their preparations such as for anti dandruff shampoos but they usually will add some perfumes to hide the smell of the tea tree oil.
